HGV Class 1 Driver – UttoxeterPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV CE Driver, Category CE Driver, C+E Driver, or Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, guaranteed minimum paid hours, no handball, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.Shifts• Monday to Friday  • Start times between 15:00 and 19:00Rates of Pay• £17.28 per hour basic rate  • Overtime paid at £21.60 per hour  • Minimum 9.5 hours paid per shift  • No break deductionsBenefitsAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive:• Excellent hourly rates  • Guaranteed minimum paid hours  • No handball required  • Ongoing work  • Weekly pay  • On-site canteen  • Employee well-being programme  • Immediate starts available  • Paid induction  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignmentDay-to-Day DutiesAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:• Carrying out RDC and brewery deliveries using curtain-side vehicles with no handball required  • Operating and driving Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently  • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections  • Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly  • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations at all times  • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements to management  • Completing all relevant paperwork and tachograph records accuratelyEssential SkillsAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence  • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Class 1 vehicles  • Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes  • Good level of spoken and written English  • Punctual with excellent time-keeping skills  • Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations  • Effective communication skills and a professional attitudeDesirable Experience• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles  • Previous RDC delivery experience  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience  • Experience operating curtain-side vehicles would be advantageousTraining Provided• Driver assessment must be completed before starting  • One-day paid induction following successful assessment  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignmentApplyIf you are ready to take on this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.TPBN1_UKTJ
