Shift Supervisor (Tunstead Stone) Tunstead Quarry (4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts)Lead from the front. Drive performance. Keep operations moving safely.Are you an experienced Supervisor or Team Leader from a quarrying, heavy industrial, manufacturing, processing, cement, mining or production environment? Do you thrive in fast-paced operational settings where safety, people leadership and delivering results matter?We're looking for a Stone Shift Supervisor to join our team at Tunstead Quarry, taking responsibility for the safe, efficient and sustainable operation of the site during your shift.What you'll be doingLeading quarry, crushing, processing and dispatch operationsDriving a strong health, safety and environmental cultureCoordinating shift teams to achieve production and performance targetsManaging plant issues, breakdowns and operational challengesDelivering effective shift handovers and operational reportingCoaching, developing and supporting operational teamsInvestigating incidents, near misses and operational deviationsIdentifying and driving continuous improvement opportunitiesWhat we're looking forPrevious supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred but not essential)Experience within quarrying, heavy industry, manufacturing or process operationsA visible and proactive approach to health and safetyStrong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skillsThe ability to remain calm, resilient and adaptable under pressureExperience delivering team and operational performance targetsGood IT, literacy and numeracy skillsIOSH Managing Safely (preferred)SHE NVQ (preferred)Quarry regulations knowledge and technical qualifications or experience with mobile plant and processing equipment (advantageous)Why TarmacThis is a unique opportunity to take on a key leadership role at Tunstead Quarry, one of the UK's largest and most strategically important quarrying operations.
