Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will help clients design, improve and deliver user-centred services that solve complex challenges through the thoughtful application of design, technology, data and creativity.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful transformation programmes across both public and private sector organisations while developing your expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment.The RoleAs a Service Designer, you will support clients through the end-to-end service design lifecycle, helping to create innovative products and services from early discovery and ideation through to delivery, testing and continuous improvement.You will work within cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality service design outputs, champion accessibility and inclusion and advocate for user-centred design principles throughout project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport clients through the full service design process, from ideation and inception through to solution build and testingCreate service design artefacts including user journeys, personas, service blueprints, service maps and proof of conceptsApply recognised service design standards and best practices across public and private sector projectsIdentify and address accessibility and inclusion considerations throughout the design processCollaborate effectively within agile, multidisciplinary teamsTake ownership of service design deliverables while working closely with other user-centred design disciplinesPresent insights and design outputs clearly using compelling visual communicationFacilitate workshops, ideation sessions and collaborative design activitiesIdentify and manage risks, escalating where appropriatePromote and advocate for user-centred design among stakeholders and project teamsBring a curious mindset with a passion for understanding user needs and challenging assumptionsSkills & ExperienceEssential ExperienceMinimum 3 years' experience in service design and product designProven ability to work across the full service design lifecycle with minimal supervisionExperience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and design principles, or comparable design frameworksStrong capability in producing service design artefacts including: Current and future-state user journeysPersonasService conceptsService blueprintsRelated design documentationExperience identifying potential accessibility barriers for complex user groupsExperience facilitating workshops, design sprints, ideation sessions or similar activitiesAbility to visualise complex services in an accessible and engaging way for different audiencesExperience solving complex problems in fast-paced environments with strong storytelling skillsExperience working in agile, cross-functional teams including user researchers, UX/UI designers, business analysts, product owners, delivery managers and developersAbility to manage competing priorities within challenging timeframesStrong stakeholder management and relationship-building skillsPassion for user-centric design and translating user needs into effective service solutionsPortfolio ExpectationsCandidates should be able to demonstrate examples of previous work.
