Maintenance Engineer£480 Per Day - Outside IR353 on 3 off - DaysTamworthgap technical are representing a market-leading automated logistics and warehousing business seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide contract maintenance engineering services at their site.The successful engineer will provide electrical and multi-skilled maintenance engineering services to support the reliability, availability, and performance of highly automated warehouse and material handling systems.Performance ObjectivesProvision of reactive breakdown support to minimise unplanned downtime across automated warehouse systemsExecution of planned and preventative maintenance activities aligned with site maintenance schedulesElectrical fault diagnosis using schematics, diagnostics, and asset historyIdentification and rectification of recurring equipment faults, including implementation of permanent corrective actionsMaintenance and optimisation of automated material handling equipment, including cranes conveyors, sortation systems, , motors, gearboxes, drives, and sensorsPLC fault-finding and interrogation to support rapid fault resolution and system recoverySupport for system reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaboration with operations, engineering, controls, and safety teams to ensure safe and efficient warehouse operationSupport for equipment modifications, upgrades, shutdowns, commissioning, and refurbishment activitiesAll services delivered in compliance with site health, safety, and permit-to-work systemsProfileTime-served engineer or demonstrable equivalent industry experienceStrong electrical bias with proven experience in automated warehouse, intralogistics, distribution, or FMCG environmentsProven capability working with: 3-phase electrical systemsMotors, drives, inverters, sensors, and safety circuitsPLC fault-finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar)Automated material handling and warehouse control systemsPrevious experience providing services as a maintenance engineering contractorAble to manage workload and priorities independently, working with minimal directionStrong communication skills when liaising with site stakeholdersAvailability to support a 3 on 3 off day shift patternApplyTo be considered, please submit your CV via the Apply Now option on the website.For further information on this engagement or to discuss other contract opportunities, please get in touch.This contract opportunity is advertised by gap technical, operating as an employment business.
