Job Title: Engineering SupervisorLocation: Doncaster Stainforth (DN7)Salary: Up to £58,500 DOE + Overtime AvailableIndustry: Food ManufacturingContract Type: Permanent, Full-TimeShift Pattern: Monday to Friday | Rotating Early & Late ShiftsHours: 45 Hours Per Week (Including 1 Hour Paid Lunch Daily)Why Join?Clear progression pathway into Engineering Management and Reliability Leadership positionsCompetitive salary package with overtime opportunities availableOngoing training and funded professional qualificationsStable Monday-to-Friday working patternNo weekend workingNo night shiftsSignificant investment in engineering, equipment, and site improvementsFree on-site parkingHot on-site canteen facilitiesCompany pension schemeEmployee wellbeing and assistance programmesThe OpportunityAs Engineering Supervisor, you'll play a key role in supporting operational performance by leading maintenance activities, developing engineering capability, and ensuring equipment reliability across the site.You will be the link between the engineering team and wider production operation, helping to create a proactive maintenance culture focused on safety, performance, and continuous improvement.Key Engineering Supervisor Responsibilities:Lead and support a team of multi-skilled engineers across daily engineering operationsCoordinate engineering workloads and ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and effectivelyDrive completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximise equipment reliabilitySupport rapid response to breakdowns and minimise production downtimeAssist engineers with mechanical, electrical, and automation fault diagnosisPromote a positive engineering culture through coaching, mentoring, and team developmentManage shift handovers and ensure effective communication across engineering teamsEnsure compliance with site safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and lockout/tagout processesMaintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and audit complianceIdentify opportunities to improve asset reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performanceSupport engineering projects including equipment installation, commissioning, and upgradesMonitor engineering performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesWhat We're Looking For In An Engineering Supervisor:We are keen to speak with Engineering Supervisors, Lead Engineers, Senior Engineers, or Team Leaders from fast-paced manufacturing environments, including:FMCGFood & BeveragePharmaceuticalChemicalAutomotivePlasticsPackagingTo be successful, you will ideally have:Previous experience leading or supervising engineering teams within manufacturingStrong multi-skilled engineering knowledge with mechanical and electrical fault-finding experienceExperience working within automated, high-volume production environmentsA good understanding of UK health and safety requirements within manufacturingExperience using CMMS or maintenance management systemsThe ability to motivate teams, prioritise workloads, and drive engineering performanceA proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvementThe following would be advantageous but are not essential:PLC fault-finding experienceTPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement experienceNVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or equivalent engineering qualification17th or 18th Edition Electrical QualificationTPBN1_UKTJ
