Finance Director - Manufacturing Transformation & TurnaroundLocation: Manchester (Hybrid - 3 Days per Week in the Office)Contract: 6-12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (could be permanent)Salary: £110,000 - £130,000 + 20% BonusThe OpportunityAccountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a key client in Manchester to appoint an experienced Interim Finance Director to lead the business through a critical period of transformation, performance improvement and value creation.This is a highly commercial leadership role for a proven Finance Director with strong manufacturing experience and a track record of turnaround delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute a strategic recovery plan, improve business performance, strengthen financial discipline, and maximise shareholder value.Key ObjectivesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:* Developing and implementing a strategic turnaround plan to improve profitability and business performance.* Restoring financial clarity and improving the quality of management information.* Strengthening forecasting, budgeting and business planning processes.* Driving EBITDA improvement through enhanced commercial decision-making and operational performance.* Establishing robust cash management disciplines and improving working capital performance.* Providing clear, data-driven insights to support strategic and operational decisions.* Simplifying reporting processes and improving visibility across the business.* Aligning finance with operational and commercial objectives to support sustainable growth.Key Responsibilities* Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and leadership team on strategic, financial and commercial matters.* Lead the development of short, medium and long-term business plans.* Own the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycle.* Deliver meaningful management information and performance analysis that drives action and accountability.* Monitor and improve cash flow, liquidity and working capital management.* Identify opportunities for margin enhancement, cost optimisation and operational efficiencies.* Enhance financial controls, governance and risk management frameworks.* Lead improvements to ERP reporting and management information systems.* Work collaboratively across operations, sales and supply chain functions to improve business performance.* Manage, mentor and develop the finance team, ensuring strong capability and accountability.* Support stakeholders through transformation initiatives and change programmes.* Play a leading role in any sale, fundraising, acquisition or restructuring activity.Essential Experience* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.* Previous Finance Director experience within a manufacturing environment.* Demonstrable turnaround, transformation and performance improvement experience.* Strong strategic planning and execution capability.* Proven expertise in cash flow management, working capital optimisation and financial control.TPBN1_UKTJ
