Job Description:Nursery ManagerNorth London£32,000 to £35,000 per annum plus termly bonus1 set day off per week6 - week temp to perm roleWellbeing BenefitsJob OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure high standards of childcare, and foster a nurturing environment for children and staff alike. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, organising programmes, and promoting a positive organisational culture.DutiesLead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performanceDevelop and implement educational programmes that promote early childhood development in line with best practicesOversee daily nursery operations, including enrolment, attendance, and health & safety protocolsMaintain strong communication with parents and carers to keep them informed about their children's progress and nursery activitiesEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and policies governing childcare servicesManage budgets, resources, and supplies efficiently to support smooth nursery functioningOrganise staff rotas, training sessions, and professional development opportunitiesFoster an inclusive, welcoming environment that supports the wellbeing of children and staff alikeDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care providedExperienceProven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education settingDemonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a teamExtensive experience working directly with children in childcare or educational environmentsStrong understanding of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood curriculum frameworksExcellent communication skills in English, both written and verbalAbility to build positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and external agenciesValid driving licence is desirable for transporting resources or attending external meetings or eventsThis role is suitable for a proactive professional passionate about early childhood education who is committed to delivering high-quality childcare services.
