They are known for innovation and creating places that leave a lasting positive impact.This role, is an exciting opportunity to help deliver high-quality construction projects that make a lasting impact across South Wales. Initially based on a major project in Newport, you'll go on to support exciting developments across the region within sectors including Healthcare and Defence.The RoleReporting to the Construction Manager, you'll take the lead on-site, managing projects from build through to handover - ensuring delivery is safe, on time, within budget and defect-free.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading site teams and managing day-to-day construction operationsDriving high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performanceCoordinating subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to maintain programme deliveryBuilding strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and local communitiesManaging project programmes, budgets and on-site logistics efficientlySupporting sustainability goals and Considerate Constructor principlesEnsuring smooth project handover and managing defects through completionWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for an experienced construction professional with a strong track record of delivering successful projects as part of a wider team. Experience within Healthcare or Defence projects would be highly beneficial.You'll ideally have:Strong leadership and people management skillsExperience managing construction programmes including experience of ASTA, drawings and technical specificationsExperience managing subcontractors and supply chain partnersA proactive and solutions-focused approachHNC/NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent)SMSTS, First Aid at Work and appropriate CSCS certificationYou will be joining an Award-winning employer and sustainability leader, with an inclusive, people-focused culture, with clear career progression opportunities available.
