As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, configuring, and supporting secure network environments that keep critical services connected and protected.You will lead the resolution of complex customer challenges in an agile, innovative, and collaborative environment. This role requires close engagement with technical teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure successful delivery of secure networking solutions.We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong NSX / network virtualisation expertise to support the delivery of secure and complex infrastructure projects.What You Will Do Design, configure, and support network virtualisation solutions (e.g. VMware NSX) within secure and enterprise environmentsTake ownership of engineering delivery for one or more work packages, including planning, estimation, execution, and reportingDevelop and review high- and low-level network designs and technical documentationIntegrate and test network components, ensuring compliance with performance and security requirementsProvide mentoring, guidance, and technical leadership to Network Engineers and TechniciansCollaborate with stakeholders, project teams, and customers to ensure solutions meet requirementsDrive continuous improvement and contribute to engineering standards and governanceWhat You'll Bring Strong experience designing, configuring, and supporting network virtualisation platforms (e.g. NSX or similar)Ability to balance hands-on engineering with technical leadership and mentoring responsibilitiesConfidence to take ownership of solutions and represent networking in technical discussionsCore Areas (Must Have) Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, QoS, VPNs, VLANs)Network virtualisation (NSX-T): design, configuration, and support of NSX-based networking environmentsSoftware-defined networking: implementation of logical switching, routing, and micro-segmentationIntegration of NSX networking within virtualised and platform environments (e.g. VCF)Hands-on experience with Cisco or equivalent multi-vendor network equipmentNetwork security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, segmentation)Familiarity with virtualisation and cloud networking conceptsNetwork monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics toolsUnderstanding of ITIL and service management frameworksExperience delivering within secure, enterprise, or defence environmentsDesirable VMware NSX-T deep expertise and certification (or equivalent experience)VCF networking integration (vSphere, vSAN, Aria Suite)Overlay / underlay network design conceptsAutomation of network configuration (Ansible, Terraform, APIs)Integration with security tooling (SIEM, SOC platforms)Cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid connectivityExperience working in highly secure or regulated environmentsIf this is something of interest, can you please send me your most up to date cv to - or alternatively call me on 0161 546 1097TPBN1_UKTJ
