This role is easily commutable from Sheffield, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Worksop, Bolsover, Dronfield, North Anston, Retford, Doncaster and Mansfield.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and its important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds, therefore prior technical experience isnt always necessary for success.Main ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Shift Managers the duties of the Multi Skilled Operative are part of a key team of Operatives producing dry aggregates material for the construction industry. As well as delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations.Your role as a Multi Skilled Operative will include:Operation of computer based fixed crushing and screening plantInputting data into app-based systemsSupporting weighbridge operationsMobile plant operations including loading shovel, dumpers, tractor and bowserWorking with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality materialAssisting the Shift Managers with meeting daily/weekly production targetsEnsuring Plant always conforms with safety requirements and following Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures and responsibilitiesHelping site to achieve Key performance indicatorsComplete fixed and mobile plant inspectionsEnsuring that Plant availability is maximisedWorking to keep housekeeping around site to a high standardPlease note this is a DAY shift role working 48 hours week Monday Friday.
