Service Engineer South Wales | Permanent | 36 Hours Per WeekExpected Earnings: £43,000 - £50,000+About the Company Our client is a well-established engineering and automation business based in South Wales, providing specialist support and technical solutions to a wide range of manufacturing and industrial customers.Known for investing in their people and maintaining a strong team culture, they offer ongoing training, long-term career development and the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers within a supportive environment.The Opportunity Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Engineer to join an established and highly respected engineering team.This role will involve supporting customers with breakdown response, planned maintenance, commissioning activities and technical support across a variety of industrial environments.The position would suit an engineer from a maintenance, service or automation background who enjoys fault finding, customer interaction and a varied workload.Working Hours 36-hour working weekMonday to Thursday: 8:30am 4:30pmFriday: 8:30am 3:00pmWork from home every FridayFlexible and supportive working environmentSalary & Package Typical annual earnings: £43,000 - £50,000+Weekly on-call allowance: £250Average annual on-call earnings of approximately £3,800Overtime paid at: Time and a half outside normal hoursDouble time on SundaysOn-Call Structure One full week on call every six weeksOne weekend in six as secondary supportDaytime calls are managed by the office support teamMost call-outs are completed within a few hoursOvernight stays are extremely rareMajority of customer sites are within one to two hours of South WalesKey Responsibilities Responding to breakdown and service callsCarrying out planned maintenance activitiesSupporting existing customer accountsUndertaking field service work across customer sitesAssisting with commissioning and improvement projectsProducing service reports and documentationSharing technical knowledge with colleaguesSupporting the continued growth of the service departmentCandidate Requirements Applicants should ideally possess:HNC/HND qualification in Electrical, Electronic or related Engineering disciplinePrevious experience within maintenance, service or automation environmentsPLC programming and fault-finding experienceKnowledge of drives and industrial control systemsStrong problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and teamworking skillsWhy Join This Opportunity? ? 36-hour working week?
