Exterior Lead Engineer | Automotive Exterior Systems | 12-Month ContractWe are looking for an experienced Exterior Lead Engineer to support the development of next-generation vehicle exterior systems within a leading automotive engineering programme. This role will take ownership of bumper, grille, exterior trim and underfloor component development from concept through to production.Key Skills & ExperienceProven experience leading exterior systems development within an automotive OEM or Tier 1 environmentStrong background in bumpers, grilles, exterior finishers, trims, appliques and underfloor systemsCATIA V6 / 3DX experienceKnowledge of plastic injection moulding, tooling and manufacturing processesUnderstanding of aerodynamic requirements, pedestrian safety regulations and automotive quality standardsExperience managing APQP activities, engineering change requests and supplier relationshipsAbility to drive component validation, vehicle testing and issue resolution through to sign-offDegree qualified in Mechanical or Automotive EngineeringResponsibilitiesLead commodity delivery against quality, cost and timing targetsManage engineering releases, change control and programme milestonesCoordinate testing, validation and design verification activitiesWork closely with suppliers, engineering teams and key stakeholders to deliver robust design solutionsEnsure compliance with regulatory, quality and product standards throughout developmentExcellent contract opportunity offering exposure to cutting-edge automotive programmes and direct engagement with a major vehicle manufacturer.For more information and direct contact with me, please send me an email and call only if required.
