Bring your skills, your ideas, and your drive, and help us shape the future of housing in Devon.As a Management Accountant, you will deliver high-quality financial management information that supports effective decision-making and reflects our organisational values. Working closely with colleagues across the finance team, budget holders and non-finance stakeholders, you'll play a vital role in financial planning, reporting and compliance, ensuring robust financial controls and providing insightful financial analysis.This is a fixed-term opportunity designed to support the Management Accounts team as we deliver HomeTeam27, a project to deliver the insourcing of our repairs and maintenance service.Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week.Contract: Fixed-term contract until December 2027.Location: Devon, TQ12 4PH.What You'll Be DoingKey responsibilities include:Preparing and reviewing of the management accountsCalculation and posting of monthly accruals and prepayments and other month end journalsMonthly budget holder meetings to discuss financial performanceMonthly balance sheet reconciliationsProviding accounting support in respect of new property developments, both for revenue and capital costsPreparing ad-hoc financial reports, as required ensuring agreed targets are metKey reconciliations between the finance system and housing management systemPlaying a key role in the companys year-end, including assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with the external auditorsFull details can be found in the job description.About YouWhat we're looking for:Fully qualified (CIMA/CCAB) or qualified by experienceExperience in management accounting, budgeting and financial reportingStrong analytical skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance colleaguesExperience of maintaining financial controls and supporting complianceA collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering excellent customer serviceA proactive, organised and adaptable individual who thrives in a changing environmentIf you're looking for a role where your financial expertise can make a meaningful difference while contributing to an exciting transformation programme, we'd love to hear from you.If you believe youre the right person for our Management Accountant role, apply today!Closing date: 2 August 2026.Applications will be considered as they are received, so early applications are encouraged.
