Welder (MIG / TIG)Location: SparkfordJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)Hours:Monday to Thursday: 7:30am 4:30pmFriday: 7:30am 12:30pm£15.50phOvertime AvailableAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our production team in Sparkford.You'll be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of components from stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality assemblies. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork are key.Key Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawingsMeasure, prepare and assemble components ready for weldingCarry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standardSet up welding equipment and select the correct welding method for each jobAlign and fabricate components to specificationInspect finished work to ensure quality standards are metComplete work orders accurately using the company's ERP systemFollow production schedules and work to daily prioritiesCarry out routine equipment checks and maintain a safe working environmentSupport continuous improvement across the production teamAssist with other production duties when requiredAbout YouWe're looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated and takes pride in producing quality work.You'll have:Proven experience in MIG and TIG weldingExperience welding stainless steel, mild steel and aluminiumFabrication experience, including reading engineering drawings and assembling componentsKnowledge of appropriate welding materials and techniquesStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood communication skills and the ability to work as part of a teamA proactive approach with excellent timekeeping and attendanceDesirable Welding qualifications or professional certificationKnowledge of metallurgyWhat We Offer Full-time, permanent positionOvertime opportunitiesFull training and PPE providedSupportive team environmentOpportunity to develop your skills within a growing manufacturing businessCompetitive salary, dependent on experience and qualificationsPhysical RequirementsThis is a physically active role within a busy manufacturing environment.
