Your day-to-day will include:Designing cutting-edge HV cable systems Undertake design, studies, and calculations to BSEN/IEC/National Grid/DNO/ENA standardsDelivering technical excellence Prepare cable sizing assessments, earthing studies, and interface analysesShaping the route Contribute to cable routing feasibility and detailed design studies, balancing technical brilliance with real-world planning needsCreating project documentation Produce design concepts, specifications, and technical documents that set the standardCollaborating with clients Engage directly with clients to understand their vision and deliver solutions that exceed expectationsGetting hands-on Attend site inspections and bring design expertise to the fieldWorking across disciplines Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate your HV cable designs into transformative projectsChampioning quality and safety Ensure all documentation meets rigorous QA, environmental, and safety standardsQualifications What You Bring:Essential:Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification/experience)Technical expertise in transmission voltage underground cable systems or transferable experienceProficiency in CYMCAP or similar design softwareOutstanding communication skills and the ability to juggle prioritiesKnowledge of CDM & ESQCR legislationA proactive, problem-solving mindsetDesirable:Experience with AutoCAD/MicroStationUnderstanding of multi-discipline projects and design interface managementYour Strengths:You explain complex technical concepts with clarity and confidenceYou're a natural problem solver, always focused on client successYou build lasting relationships and bring teams together to deliver resultsAdditional Information LSTC Group Ltd offers a people-first culture built on trust, integrity, and collaboration, where inclusivity and sustainability are at the heart of everything they do.
