Our client has over 40 years of experience designing, developing, and manufacturing condiments and sauces for a wide range of market sectors. Working closely with leading businesses across transport, retail, and food service industries, they have built a strong reputation for quality and innovation.This is an excellent opportunity for a Machine Operator to join a well-established food production business. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing production machinery efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring production targets are achieved.Your RoleAs a Machine Operator , your duties will include:Setting up machinery ready for production runs and ensuring work areas are clean and preparedOperating and adjusting machine settings to meet production requirementsEnsuring adequate supplies of labels, packaging, sauces, and raw materials are availablePerforming product quality checks, including weight, taste, packaging integrity, metal detection, and date code verificationIdentifying and reporting machine faults and assisting with troubleshooting activitiesCarrying out routine maintenance tasks, cleaning, lubrication, and machine strip-downs after production runsFollowing all health, safety, food hygiene, and company proceduresWorking closely with Production Supervisors, Technical Support, and production teamsTraining and mentoring less experienced operators when requiredCompleting all production, quality, and maintenance paperwork accuratelySupporting continuous improvement initiatives across the production facilityParticipating in taste panels and maintaining company quality standardsRequirementsEssentialPrevious experience in a Machine Operator, Machine Operator, or similar production roleFluent written and spoken EnglishGood mathematical skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work accurately in a fast-paced production environmentPersonal AttributesStrong technical understanding of machinery operation and basic maintenanceExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify faults quicklyGood communication skillsTeam-oriented approach with a positive attitudeStrong commitment to health, safety, and food hygiene standardsAbility to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasksReliable, punctual, and hard-workingPay & Shifts£12.71 per hourMonday - Friday40 hours per week06:00 - 14:30What's in it for you?Weekly pay from an experienced payroll teamHoliday accrued up to 28 days (pro-rata)Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidateFull-time hours with a stable Monday to Friday shift patternSupportive and friendly working environmentOpportunity to work for a globally recognised manufacturerFree onsite parkingFree access to our perks scheme after your first payment (discounts on electronics, travel, clothing, home, fitness, wellbeing and more)How to ApplyTo apply, please send your up-to-date CV to this advert or call 01905 20547 and speak to one of our recruitment consultants today!
