Forecourt Sales Assistant

We are a family-run business seeking a Saturday Forecourt Shop Assistant to join our team at a busy petrol station in Castle Cary. The role requires someone who is alert, able to cope under pressure , and confident handling fast-paced customer interactions. Full on-site training will be provided.Duties will include:Processing payments cash, card, and fuel card transactions for fuel, shop goods, and workshop invoices.Completing daily routines morning and end-of-day procedures.Maintaining shop standards restocking shelves, cleaning the shop area, and ensuring the coffee machine is cleaned and replenished.Checking product dates monitoring fresh food and completing other tasks as required.This list is not exhaustive; similar duties relevant to the role of a sales assistant may be requested from time to time.Hours & AvailabilityLocation: On-site, Castle CaryJob Type: Part-timePay: Minimum WageCore Hours: Saturdays, 1:00 pm 5:45 pm (4.75 hours per week) Saturday afternoon availability is essential.Additional weekday availability particularly for morning and afternoon shifts would be highly beneficial to support holiday and sickness cover.RequirementsMust be over 18 due to lone working and the sale of age-restricted products.Must be able to stay focused, work accurately, and handle busy periods confidently .Must be comfortable with basic payment handling and following set procedures.Must be able to think clearly under pressure and maintain high standards of customer service.TPBN1_UKTJ
