Job Description

Our Company is seeking a Bid Writer to produce high-quality, client-focused proposal content that clearly articulates our value proposition. Working closely with the Head of Bid Management, Bid Managers, and subject matter experts across the business, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex, high-value bid submissions.This role operates within a collaborative, deadline-driven environment and requires strong written communication, stakeholder engagement, and commercial awareness.Job Description:Key responsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:Leading storyboard and content-planning sessions with bid teams and key stakeholdersDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with subject matter experts across the businessSupporting Bid Managers in defining proposal structures aligned to client requirementsReviewing, refreshing, and tailoring pre-written content where appropriateWriting, editing, and finalising proposal responses to agreed RFP deadlines, escalating risks where requiredIntegrating contributions from sales, marketing, product, finance, legal, commercial, and delivery teams into clear and compelling responsesCoaching contributors on bid-writing best practice and quality standardsSubmitting new and updated content to the knowledge base for future reuseContributing to the ongoing improvement of bid templates and written standardsEssential skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:Experience working across the end-to-end bid or proposal processProven ability to develop clear, persuasive written content aligned to client needsExperience supporting complex or high-value bidsStrong written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiencesExperience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing prioritiesThe ability to work to fixed deadlines within a structured bid environmentExperience using digital tools (including AI-enabled tools) to improve efficiency and qualityDesirable skills and experienceThe following would be advantageous, but are not essential:Experience within professional services, financial services, pensions, or regulated environmentsExposure to formal bid governance processesExperience contributing to bid knowledge management or content librariesAbout Our CompanyOur Company is one of the UK's leading pension providers, supporting over 450 schemes and more than 7 million members.
