The QE will carry out department activities in accordance with defined processes and procedures and assist with the creation and upkeep of quality standards and systems across the business.39 hours per week (Shifts in operation)Day Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00 & Friday 08:00-13:00Back Monday to Thursday 11:30-21:45Night Monday to Thursday 21:45-08:00Key ResponsibilitiesOperate an efficient 1st off, In Process, Final and Goods-In inspection process as per requirementsOperation of CMM, Contour and Optical measurement equipment and conventional metrologyPrepare and complete documentation as per customer and business requirementsLiaise with production and other departments as required to ensure timely job completionCarry out in-house Calibration duties per schedule and processParticipate in the implementation of the Nonconformity and Concession processesControl, quarantine and disposition of nonconforming product as requiredLiaise with other departments to communicate rejected materials and issuesData collection through ERP system and other mediums as requiredEstablish and define best practice inspection per product as requiredMaterial testing and verification as requiredShift work including Back, Night and cover for absence will be an essential part of this roleAny other duties the company requires to be carried out.ExperienceMinimum HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a manufacturing / engineering role.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings at all complexity levels.Experienced and competent in the use of modern metrology equipment e.g. CMM, optical, contour and surface measurement.
