Are you an experienced and dynamic Stores Operator looking for your next position?We are currently looking for a Stores Operator at our Tunstead cement plant in Buxton, Derbyshire to support our Buxton cluster of sites. This is a key role supporting the smooth operation of our Tunstead stores, which hold a wide range of essential stock and spare parts.The Stores Operator is expected to be a team player with a flexible approach to work. They must be able to prioritise their own tasks effectively to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, support the Stores Team, and meet the needs of customers across the site.Main ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Stores Operator your day to day responsibilities will include:Supportingoperations at the Buxton cluster of sitesCarrying out all operations for the Stores in line with the relevant rules, policies, procedures and regulationsAccuracy and control of all deliveries to the Stores and the distribution/delivery/collection of items around the sitesMaintaining housekeeping and tidiness within the Stores, ensuring all items are stored correctlyReceiving and goods-receipting deliveriesManaging stockManaging stock and spares information recordsEnsuring delivered stock items are promptly and accurately put away in their assigned locationsOrganising and planning picking activities to ensure required items are available when neededLogging all picked items in SAP to maintain up-to-date and accurate stock recordsDelivering and collecting items, parcels and postThe Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the role of Stores Operator will have the following:Relevant and up to date Forklift Operators LicenceDriving LicenseAt least 2 years of experience in Warehouse Operations including use of ForkliftsLifting, slinging and transport of heavy objectsCompetent in using Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with SAP or equivalentThe role is based our Tunstead site in Buxton, Derbyshire.
