Job Description

We are seeking a time served CNC Machinist to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC latches and milling machines to produce high-precision components. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, setting up machinery, and ensuring quality standards are met. A strong background in mechanical processes is essential to optimise production efficiency and accuracy.ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC machines to produce parts according to technical specifications and drawingsSet up, calibrate, and maintain CNC equipment, including milling and grinding machinesRead and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsPerform routine inspections of machined parts to ensure precision and quality standards are maintainedUse hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment for adjustments, assembly, and minor repairsApply basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checksMaintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with safety regulationsAssist with plastics injection moulding processes when requiredTroubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs or adjustments on machinerySkillsProficiency in CNC machining operations with experience in milling and grinding processes is essentialMechanical knowledge related to tooling, assembly, welding, and plastics injection mouldingFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling equipmentAbility to read technical drawings accurately and interpret engineering specificationsBasic math skills including measurement conversions, tolerances, and calculations for machining processesGood understanding of safety procedures within a manufacturing environmentExcellent organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control tasksThis position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for precision engineering and manufacturing excellence.
