Kingston Barnes are recruiting for a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our client in the manufacturing sector. Working within the manufacturing sector, this rolewill expect you to provide preventative maintenance and mechanical service and support to the site, ensuring continuous improvement in the standards of mechanical engineering, health and safety and environmental performance, such that set business objectives are met.Responsibilities Reactive maintenance on mechanical equipmentPPM'sTransmission belt inspection and changingInspection of bearings and couplings, alignment checkingDiagnosing and repairing equipment breakdowns. Identifying failure modes of plant equipment and returning the equipment to operation safely and in a reasonable timescale.Requirements You will have a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles with a comprehensive understanding of fitting, turning and general fabrication, rigging and lifting of heavy loads.You should possess a formal technical qualification in Mechanical Craft i.e. NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Mechanical or equivalent.General knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essentialHours Four on four off (D/N) 18 day break included every few rotationsSalary £52,600 +If you would like to hear more about this fantastic opportunity then please get in touch !TPBN1_UKTJ
