This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about childrens mental health and wants to gain valuable experience supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism, and additional learning needs.Every day is different, but your support will help children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.The Role - Mental Health Assistant - SwindonSupport children who may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or struggle to engage in the classroomProvide 1:1 support to help pupils regulate emotions and remain focused during lessonsDeliver small group interventions to build social skills, confidence, and resilienceUse behaviour management strategies to de-escalate challenging situations calmlyBuild strong, trusting relationships to help pupils feel secure and understoodWork closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to support individual needsAbout the SchoolThis nurturing and inclusive primary school in Swindon has a strong focus on supporting pupils with additional needs.
