Our client is looking for an Operations Manager who will beresponsible for the management of safe, efficient planning, delivery and commercial performance of all jobs and workshop and warehouse activities.Managing the pump and workshop engineers, the office and warehouse employees and ensuring they are trained, certified and capable of delivering the jobs and work undertaken.To improve the commercial performance of engineers and office employees.Look for continuous improvements in work within the team to generate and implement ideas.Job Role Location: The position will be based out of the Maidenhead officePrincipal Job Role Responsibilities:PeoplePeople management including Performance Reviews, 1:2:1s, appraisals and training developmentFoster excellent working relationships across the business to enable a one team cultureReview all team members and identify potential and work to create on-going Personal Development Plans (PDPs) for progression including succession planningProactively strive to optimise people retentionSupport the creation and on-going continuous improvement of training material, onboarding plans and existing team member refresher trainingManaging the teams training matrix ensuring engineers training is always up to date.Key Role ResponsibilitiesManage the Engineers quality of work, time keeping and performanceEnsuring all planned, scheduled and reactively rescheduled jobs have the required documentation, permits and permission to be on site and the equipment and materials are availableBrief the Engineers on jobs and key requirements to drive GM and commercial performance to meet or exceed targetsSupport the Technical Manager brief the engineers on the key Health and Safety (HS&E) performance requirements, use of and the continuous improvement of RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements) and all engineersJob Role Pre-requisites:Greater than 5 years experience managing remote engineering maintenance and installation teamsPositive people management skills and especially at an engineers levelAbility to troubleshoot and resolve challengesUnderstand Health and Safety standards, controls and audit systemsAble to use PipeDrive, Aeromark and Customer Portal systemIT skills across Microsoft products and job/field management tools, e.g. PDA software appsJob Role (Desirable) Qualifications & Other Skills:Prior experience of working in a similar environmentGood commercial skillsConversant with pumps and associated plant and equipment in drainage, reactive, remedial and maintenance techniques, and applicationsIOSH certification as a minimumDemonstrate a detailed and commercial approach to decision-making across activitiesManagement supervisor skillsExperience of the pumps, water, drainage and wastewater industry, particularly in relation to pumps, associated plant and equipmentJob Role People Skills:Enthusiastic and drivenCustomer-focused and a positive communicatorExcellent and proactive collaborator, both internally and externallyContinue personal and professional development for self and support with othersBe able to challenge people in a professional and productive way.Job Role Benefits:Competitive salaryBonusCompany pension schemeCompany laptop and mobile phoneTPBN1_UKTJ
