Maintenance Engineer Full Time£40,000 - £42,000 + Overtime OpportunitiesAbout Our Client Our client is a well-established, family-owned business operating within the specialist metals sector, supplying high-value materials to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine industries.Working with UK and international customers, the business plays an important role in the recycling, reprocessing, and supply of specialist alloys used in the manufacture of critical engineered components. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.The Role We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join a busy processing facility. This is a varied role combining site maintenance, equipment upkeep, and operational support within a specialist manufacturing environment.You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, maintaining a safe working environment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.Key Responsibilities Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across site facilities and equipmentInspecting and maintaining electrical systems within the buildingMaintaining processing equipment to minimise downtimeWorking closely with the maintenance team to ensure consumables and spare parts stock levels are maintainedRecording maintenance activities and equipment historyIdentifying and implementing improvements to equipment and processesSupporting site operations, including:Loading and unloading containersSorting and preparing materials for processing and dispatchOperating equipment such as plasma cutters, shot blasting machinery, and shearsMaintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environmentSupporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Health & Safety standards across the siteWhat We're Looking For While we don't expect candidates to have every skill listed, successful applicants will ideally demonstrate a combination of the following:Essential Skills & Experience Previous maintenance experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environmentAbility to carry out both mechanical and basic electrical maintenanceProactive and practical approach to problem solvingStrong fault-finding and maintenance skillsDesirable Experience Experience working with processing equipment or heavy plant machineryKnowledge of maintenance planning and record keeping systemsFLT (Forklift Truck) or materials handling experienceExperience within metal processing or recycling environmentsPersonal Attributes Reliable and self-motivatedStrong attention to detailPractical, adaptable, and willing to support across different departmentsExcellent awareness of Health & Safety requirementsSalary & Benefits £40,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)Overtime opportunities availableQuarterly and annual bonus schemesPrivate healthcareLife insuranceOn-site gym facilitiesHoliday reward schemeWorking Hours 37 hours per weekMonday - Thursday:7:00am - 3:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pmFriday:6:00am - 1:30pm or 7:00am - 2:30pm(All shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break.)Flexibility may be required to meet business needs.Why Apply?
