Position : Hydraulics TesterLocation: GloucesterType of work: permanentSalary : £32,0000 per annumHours of work: 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday between 7:00 am and 05:00 pmWe are now seeking to recruit HydraulicsTester to work for manufacturing company based in Gloucester. The appropriate candidate will be s responsible for the testing, inspection, and validation of hydraulic and pneumatic products, ensuring all assemblies meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards required for critical engineering applications.Key ResponsibilitiesTest hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic cylinders, and associated systems to defined specifications and proceduresCarry out pressure, functional, and performance testing to ensure reliability in demanding applicationsConduct detailed visual inspections and quality checks throughout the testing processAccurately record and report test data, non-conformances, and resultsDiagnose faults and work closely with assembly, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve issuesEnsure testing equipment is correctly maintained, calibrated, and used safelySupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and testing efficiencyMaintain compliance with ISO quality standards and company health & safety proceduresSkills & ExperienceExperience in a manufacturing, engineering, or production test environment (hydraulics/pneumatics preferred)Understanding of hydraulic or mechanical systems and testing processesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood problem-solving and fault-finding skillsEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesBasic IT skills for recording and reporting dataBenefitsDiscretionary annual bonusHoliday entitlement: 25 days (plus bank holidays)Company pension scheme: 5% employee contribution, 3% employer contributionLife Assurance scheme: 3 x annual salary (death in service)A range of UNUM Wellbeing benefits, including Unlimited GP appointments, 24/7 Helpline financial & legal support, One-to-one lifestyle coaching, Physiotherapy, Medical Second Opinions, Unlimited mental health support, Savings & DiscountsProgramming trainingIf you think this is appropriate opportunity, please email your CV to or contact Marta on 01453 852 542Omega is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
