They are committed to quality, innovation, and delivering exceptional products to the market.Job Role & Key Responsibilities:We are looking for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment on a permanent afternoon shift. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving production machinery, while also supporting the upkeep of the wider site, including buildings, grounds and workshop facilities. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and smooth production operations.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on factory and production machineryCarry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenanceMaintain and clean production equipment to ensure optimal performanceSupport the maintenance of buildings, grounds and general site infrastructureAssist with machinery repairs, strip-downs and rebuilds where requiredMaintain a clean, safe and organised maintenance workshopComplete maintenance records accuratelyWork collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and wider teamUndertake training as required and support other maintenance activities across the siteThe Ideal Candidate will have:A relevant engineering qualificationAt least 5 years' hands-on maintenance or engineering experienceStrong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skillsExperience working on production or factory machineryGood record-keeping skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamA practical, proactive approach and willingness to support all areas of site maintenanceDesirable Skills:Experience within manufacturing, factory, FMCG, food production or industrial environmentsKnowledge of planned and reactive maintenanceBasic electrical awarenessExperience working with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulics and pneumaticsGeneral fabrication or fitting experienceFlexible, hands-on attitude with a willingness to support wider site maintenanceBenefits Include:£45,000 salaryMonday to Friday afternoon shift (13:00 - 21:00)Stable, long-term engineering opportunityOngoing training and development where requiredOpportunity to work across a varied range of mechanical maintenance and site improvement tasksSupportive team environment with progression opportunitiesIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please get in touch with us or apply below.TPBN1_UKTJ
