Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company to recruit for an Electrical Technician to join their Energy from Waste Power Station in Exeter, Devon.The vital Electrical Technician role comes with a salary of £49,129 + up to 12% Bonus + Overtime + Private Medical + Pension + Benefits.If you're an Electrical Technician and are looking to work for a leading organisation who invests in training and professional development of their employees, then upload your CV to apply todayResponsibilities and dutiesAs Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:Fault finding and maintaining electrical assets including motors, transformers, switchgear, drives and HV/LV plant Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practicesAssisting in plant developments and projectsSupervising and setting to work on site contractorsMaintaining accurate maintenance records on the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordinationTo ensure the availability of plant sparesProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Ideally have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering17th / 18th Edition wiring regulation qualification will be desiredA health and safety qualification such as an IOSH will be highly advantageousPersonal skills, prior experience and knowledgeThe Electrical Technician role would suit someone who has:Hands-on maintenance experience with PLC systems, motors, variable speed drives, switchgear, etcPractical knowledge of process plant and equipment gained in a heavy engineering environment such as power generation, petrochemical, steel works, CHP plant, paper mill etc.Prior experience working with high voltage equipment will be highly advantageousRoyal/Merchant Navy Marine Engineers will also be considered for this opportunitySalary and benefits of the Electrical Technician roleA salary of £49,129Up to 12% BonusOvertimePrivate healthcareCall out allowancesOther benefits#LI-AP1INDPOWAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
