\nSummary of what the candidate must have to apply:
\nExperience in contract management, contract monitoring or contract administration.
\nStrong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data and producing reports.
\nExperience validating invoices, processing payments and managing financial information.
\nConfident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
\nAble to manage a varied workload and work accurately under pressure.
\nExperience within a local authority or regulated environment is desirable.
\nKnowledge of waste management or HWRC contracts is desirable.
\nLevel 3 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
\nThe role:
\nMonitor waste disposal and Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) contracts.
\nAnalyse contractor performance, KPIs and payment mechanisms.
\nValidate invoices and process contractor payments accurately.
\nProduce reports and analyse operational and financial data.
\nManage contractor and stakeholder queries and resolve issues.
\nAttend contract meetings and carry out site inspections.
\nMaintain contract records and ensure compliance with legislation.
\nSupport procurement activities and continuous service improvements.
\nThis is a site-based role. No hybrid or remote working has been specified.
\nKey accountabilities:
\nMonitor contract performance against agreed standards and targets.
\nIdentify contract breaches and support corrective actions.
\nProduce accurate reports and performance information.
\nAnalyse complex datasets and financial information.
\nValidate contractor invoices and process payments.
\nMaintain contract registers and associated records.
\nLiaise with contractors, colleagues and external stakeholders.
\nEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and council procedures.
\nSupport procurement and contract improvement activities.
\nUndertake site visits and inspections where required.
\nRequirements/key criteria:
\nExperience in contract management or contract monitoring.
\nStrong data analysis and reporting skills.
\nExperience processing financial information and validating invoices.
\nExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
\nConfident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.
\nAble to prioritise workloads and work independently.
\nExperience within a local authority or regulated environment is desirable.
\nWaste management or HWRC contract experience is desirable.
\nLevel 3 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
\nWillingness to undertake site inspections and travel as required.
