Help build and keep the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.Reporting to the Procurement Business Partner, the Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for managing procurement categories including IT and Technology services within the Defence sector, with a significant total annual spend of up to £50 million.This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to visit our Warwick HQ on occasion, as well as UK based suppliers.What youll do: Responsible for all RFx activities, managing the sourcing process, negotiation and contracting activities for high value and complex categoriesAccountable for leadership and development of a high performing and inclusive procurement team, including Organisation capability and Learning & DevelopmentResponsible for the evaluation of suppliers as part of supplier on-boarding process and implementation of iProcurement strategy category code management in line with Category strategyResponsible for on-going supplier performance and supplier relationship management throughout the contract lifetime, including inputs to risk register and risk mitigation strategiesResponsible for maintenance of Approved Supplier List (ASL) including supplier onboarding and evaluationResponsible for RFx activities for both Bid tenders and Projects including creation and issue of NDAsSupport with supplier audits and definition of social value contributionWho you are:You are an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in sourcing and managing LAN/WAN and network infrastructure, including working with OEMs, integrators, and complex supply chains in regulated environments.Key Requirements: Proven experience operating at Senior Procurement Manager level within defence or a similarly regulated environment, with a strong track record in sourcing IT and network infrastructure (including LAN/WAN equipment)Understanding of NEC3 & NEC4 contractsProven experience in managing and leading teams.Excellent negotiation skills and techniquesExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management approach and skills at a senior levelDegree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline or Professional qualification MCIPS (Chartered) is desirableSC Clearance (or must be eligible)What we offer:A career at Telent can span many sectors, roles, technologies and clients giving you the opportunity to develop, learn new skills and make an impact.
