This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic procurement function responsible for sourcing and managing critical detail parts that support Airbus programmes across its global manufacturing and final assembly network.You'll work with international suppliers, internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality components that support some of the world's most advanced aerospace programmes. If you enjoy supplier relationship management, commercial negotiation and influencing key business decisions, this role offers excellent exposure and development opportunities within a globally recognised organisation.What You'll Be DoingAs a Buyer, you'll play a key role in managing supplier contracts and driving procurement excellence across a complex and fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include:Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned supplier contracts across Airbus commercial programmesBuilding and managing strong supplier relationships to maximise value, performance and collaborationLeading procurement projects and driving continuous improvement initiativesWorking closely with Design, Programme, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain teams to deliver business objectivesMonitoring supplier performance across quality, delivery, support and logistics requirementsEnsuring contractual terms and conditions are effectively implemented and managed throughout the contract lifecycleSupporting and delivering supplier improvement plans where requiredNegotiating pricing agreements and contributing to cost reduction initiatives to support business targetsMaintaining accurate pricing information within SAP and ensuring purchase orders are managed effectivelyManaging Call for Tender (CFT) activities, coordinating stakeholder input and presenting recommendations to management teamsContributing to procurement and supply chain strategies that drive innovation and strengthen the supply baseSupporting the development of future sourcing approaches and supplier partnershipsWhat We're Looking ForWe're interested in hearing from commercially minded professionals who can confidently engage with stakeholders and suppliers in a collaborative and proactive manner.You'll ideally have:Experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain or commercial environmentsStrong negotiation and supplier management skillsExperience managing multiple suppliers and competing prioritiesKnowledge of tendering and sourcing activitiesGood commercial, contract or financial awarenessStrong stakeholder management and relationship-building skillsExcellent communication and influencing abilitiesA customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skillsThe ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a team environmentBasic SAP knowledge (desirable)Desirable Industry BackgroundApplications are particularly welcomed from candidates with experience in:AerospaceDefenceNaval or marine engineeringManufacturingEngineering-led environmentsTransferable procurement experience from complex industrial sectors will also be considered.What's in It for You?Opportunity to work for a world-leading aerospace organisationExposure to global suppliers and international procurement activitiesLong-term contract with potential for extensionOpportunity to contribute to high-profile aerospace programmesA collaborative and experienced team environmentOngoing professional development and exposure to strategic procurement activitiesInclusive RecruitmentAt Guidant Global, we believe in creating opportunities for everyone.
