CNC Turner (Setter / Operator) West Bromwich B70 4 Day Working Week Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 4:00pmMy client is a specialist manufacturer of roll tooling, providing reliable subcontract machining services across the West Midlands and throughout Europe. They deliver complete end-to-end and turnkey machining solutions, alongside a nationwide 24/7 breakdown service and in-house machining for tubes and sections.They are looking to recruit a CNC Turner on a permanent basis to join a small, close-knit team of 78 staff. This is a hands-on role focused on setting and operating CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Set and operate CNC turning machines with Fanuc controlsSet tooling, offsets, and prove out programsProduce components from engineering drawings to tight tolerancesOperate CNC lathes with C and Y axis capability (desirable)Carry out basic program edits at the machineMonitor machining processes and maintain quality standardsInspect components using appropriate measuring equipmentWork closely with the production team to meet schedulesAdhere to health, safety, and quality proceduresRequirements:Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter / Operator)Strong experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathesAbility to set machines from scratchExperience with C and Y axis lathes is desirableGood understanding of machining principles and toolingAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsHigh attention to detail and quality-focused mindsetReliable team player with good communication skillsBenefits:Competitive salary dependent on experience4-day working week for excellent work-life balanceFriendly, supportive working environmentOngoing skills development opportunitiesTPBN1_UKTJ
