Inspector - Machine Shop

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:Verify the conformity of component parts and assemblies.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Inspect parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable data package requirements, using a range of measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, and faro arms.Inspect component parts to verify applicable machine tool set up processes,Inspect component parts and assemblies in accordance with batch sampling requirements,Complete formal First Article inspection activities,Complete component and assembly testing in accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP),Process / complete non-conformance related documentation (when applicable),Support inspection related tasks / activities at non Ipeco locations (when required),Complete / authorise formal release certification (when required),To adhere to Company policies and procedures,To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures, andTo carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.This is not an exhaustive list.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:Experience working within an engineering environmentRelevant experience in inspection activitiesAbility to read engineering drawings in both Metric and Imperial unitsExperience using a range of precision measuring equipmentProficient on IT systems, including MS OfficeAbility to work independently while collaborating in a team environmentAbility to work under pressure and to deadlinesDESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:Experience of Ipecos core manufacturing processesKnowledge of quality standards (9001 Quality Management)Proven experience working with SAP ERP or similarUnderstanding and experience of First Article Inspection requirementsCOMPANY BENEFITS:The Company offers competitive benefits, including:Health Care Cash Plan*Employee Assistance Programme*Contributory Pension Scheme for eligible employees (6% increasing to 7%)Enhanced holiday (24 days holiday in addition to UK bank and public holidays)Life AssuranceCompany Sick Pay Scheme*FlexitimeEarly finish on FridaysSports and Social ClubFree car parkingFree access to a local gym**Onsite café**(*Available after 1 year of service)(** Based in Southend on Sea)TPBN1_UKTJ
