Distribution ControllerOur client, a market leader in the design, development, manufacture, and supply of Stainless-Steel containment storage solutions is currently seeking a Sales Estimator to join their team.This is a full-time permanent position based in Eye, Suffolk, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00.Role PurposeTo support the Distribution Manager in effecting the distribution of products to our clients Distributors locations worldwide.Skills, Knowledge & Experience:Proven work experience gained within a logistics role.A positive approach combined with efficient communication skills.An In-depth understanding of the role of a Logistics Coordinator/ControllerComputer proficient skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft TEAMSThe ability to work under pressure and to deadlinesGood administrative skills and a very high attention to detailAn excellent work ethic with the ability to mentor and influence the behaviour of othersA Levels or equivalent work experience gained within a Logistics environmentA second language would be an advantage, but not essential.General ResponsibilitiesTo provide advice to the Sales Department on the best transport principals and obtain quotesTo work closely with the Packing Department to ensure the most efficient and appropriate packing methods are used relative to the type of shipmentTo liaise with customers and other internal departments regarding despatch of customer orders, and to provide the necessary information and documentation as requiredTo liaise with all other departments that may require a shipping and despatch serviceThe accurate and timely update of business systems to reflect action taken and current statusTo carry out any other duties that may reasonably be requested giving due regard to your role.To provide necessary support to the Distribution Manager.
