Job Title: Senior Corporate Tax Consultant (Written Advisory)Salary: Up to£80,000 (dependent on experience)Location: Remote (UK-based)Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the RoleOur client is looking to appoint a Senior Corporate Tax Consultant to join our specialist advisory team. This is a fully remote, advisory-only role with no compliance responsibilities, offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of technically challenging and commercially focused projects.You will support a diverse client base, including owner-managed businesses (OMBs) and corporates, delivering clear, practical tax advice across a variety of scenarios. The work is varied, often project-based, and typically delivered at a strategic level rather than high-volume large corporate compliance.This role would suit someone from a mixed tax or OMB background with a corporate bias, rather than a pure large corporate tax specialist.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality corporate tax advisory services to OMBs and corporate clientsAdvise on a range of areas including: Group reorganisations (demergers, hive ups/downs, MBOs)UK aspects of international tax (corporate tax residency, Corporate Interest Restriction, and high-level transfer pricing, CFCs, BEPS)Loan relationships and the intangible assets regimeSubstantial Shareholding Exemption (SSE)Business Asset Disposal Relief (BADR)Corporation tax losses, associated companies, and Quarterly Instalment Payments (QIPs)Company purchases of own sharesTax clearances and advance assurancesShare schemes (e.g. EMI)Contribute to technical content, guidance, and internal knowledge sharing where requiredSupport colleagues and clients with practical, commercially focused solutionsCompany ConfidentialCandidate ProfileEssential:Strong UK corporate tax advisory experienceExperience working with OMBs and/or corporate clientsBroad technical tax knowledge and the ability to apply it in practiceStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearlyDesirable (any of the below):Experience in group reorganisationsExposure to UK international tax mattersShare schemes (e.g. EMI)Share valuationsBroader, multi-tax (generalist) advisory experienceWe will also consider candidates with a specialist focus in share schemes or valuations, as well as those with a high-level general tax background.Skills & AttributesCommercially minded with a pragmatic approachStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityComfortable working remotely and managing workload independentlyCollaborative and supportive team playerKeen to contribute to technical excellence and knowledge sharingBenefitsProfit share (subject to conditions)Christmas bonus (subject to conditions, including 3 years continuous service)Contributory pension schemeLife insuranceDay off for your birthdayEnhanced contractual sick payHealth scheme (subject to conditions, including 5 years service)Employee wellbeing supportHealth ShieldWhy Join?Fully remote, flexible working environmentPure advisory role no compliance workVaried and intellectually engaging workOpportunity to work with a broad client baseSupportive, collaborative culture with a strong technical focusTPBN1_UKTJ
