HGV Mechanic

Salary: £16.00 £20.40 per hour (depending on experience)Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and carry out any necessary remedial work.Attend to breakdowns and perform efficient repairs to return vehicles to service as quickly as possible.Conduct safety inspections and ensure all work meets DVSA standards.Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.Follow all company health and safety procedures.What We're Looking For Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician.Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.Good knowledge of HGV servicing, repairs, and MOT standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A positive attitude with excellent attention to detail.A relevant Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is desirable.HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence is advantageous but not essential.What We Offer Competitive hourly rate of £16.00£20.40 , depending on experience.Monday to Friday working hours (8:00am5:00pm).No regular weekend work.Company pension.Ongoing training and development opportunities.Stable, full-time permanent position.Friendly and supportive working environment.TPBN1_UKTJ
