Quantity Surveyor - Highways

Quantity Surveyor required to join a busy and driven Highways team in Snodland, Kent.The role will involve supporting projects across the South East region, with the QS playing a key role in the commercial team, working closely with the Managing Quantity Surveyor and building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and client representatives.Key ResponsibilitiesYou'll ideally bring experience from similar sectors such as Highways, Road Infrastructure, Paving, Surfacing, or Civil Engineering.A selection of day to day duties (not limited to):Managing subcontracts: issuing tender enquiries, awarding contracts, and assessing monthly payment applicationsSupporting the preparation of monthly CVRs and forecasts (internal and client-facing)Assisting with final account agreements and substantiationsEnsuring compliance with Tarmac and client processes to mitigate commercial riskAccurately valuing completed work and ensuring timely cash collectionPreparing and submitting monthly applications for paymentIssuing early warning notices and managing compensation eventsWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience in surfacing or highways infrastructure projectsStrong drive and ambition to succeedNEC3/4 contract experience (highly desirable)Solid subcontract administration skillsExcellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Commercial awareness and process driven mindsetQualificationsDegree level qualification preferredHND or Qualified by Experience (QBE) also consideredAdditional RequirementsCompany vehicle providedFull UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points)Occasional UK travel to support wider team needsIf you are interested in the position, please reply to this advert with your CV for consideration.TPBN1_UKTJ
