You will act as a key technical resource for customers, sales teams and internal product development.Responsibilities for Senior Metrology EngineerAs Senior Metrology Engineer, you will provide technical expertise across measurement applications, system setup, calibration and product development. You will work with both hardware and software, helping customers achieve accurate and repeatable results.Provide expert support on dimensional measurement and vision-based metrologySet up, test and calibrate optical and vision measurement systemsAdvise customers on measurement methods, tolerances and accuracySupport demonstrations, training and technical problem-solvingWork with design teams to support new product developmentMentor less experienced engineers within the metrology teamTravel to customer sites in the UK and occasionally overseasRequirements for Senior Metrology EngineerThe ideal candidate will have at least five years experience within metrology, dimensional inspection or measurement applications. You should understand the principles behind measurement accuracy, tolerances and repeatability, rather than simply operating equipment.At least five years experience in metrology or dimensional inspectionStrong understanding of measurement principles, tolerances and accuracyExperience with optical, vision-based or non-contact measurement systemsAbility to interpret engineering drawings and advise on measurement methodsPractical experience setting up or calibrating measurement equipmentStrong customer-facing communication and technical problem-solving skillsWillingness to work primarily on-site near Woking and travel when requiredDesirable Experience for Senior Metrology EngineerExperience using MetLogix M3 softwareBackground with vision systems, optical comparators or CMM equipmentExperience in an Applications Engineer, Metrology Engineer or technical Service Engineer roleProduct development or design engineering support experienceTPBN1_UKTJ
