We're also incredibly proud that 100% of our inspected services have been rated as Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.Role ResponsibilitiesSupport the improvement of wellbeing, readiness for learning, resilience and behaviour management within Martha H SchoolWork with members of the education team to support young people's personal and academic development by removing barriers to learningPromote positive learning behaviour with young peopleLead classes during PPA and absence cover, with planning supported by teaching staffDeliver an enrichment Golden Time activitySupport in lessons with academic understanding or pastoral, emotional or behavioural needRespond to immediate concerns, clarifying the situationCreate and collate information relating to lessons and interventions deliveredAssist in the preparation of information relevant to the meetings about pupilsBe an advocate for the ethos of Martha H SchoolLead on reading and phonics, reviewing progress made by young peopleDevelop the role of Pupil Voice, liaising with the Senior Leadership Team about the Pupil CouncilDevelop relationships with parents / carers, taking an active role in transitions and consultation visitsRequirementsHave a strong basic education, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics, and sound IT skillsPrevious experience in a similar role, for example HLTASome previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an educational settingBe experienced and confident enough to take additional responsibility in an area of school, for example food hygiene, forest school, lunchtimes or school yogaExperience of behaviour management and techniquesCommitted to professional development and willing to learnWhat We OfferA workplace that values the emotional health and wellbeing of everybody, including youA commitment to support your development in acquiring new skills through a wide range of professional opportunitiesAn opportunity to make a huge contribution to the lives and lifelong learning of vulnerable children who deserve high-quality teaching in a safe educational provisionA friendly and inclusive team who are passionate about improving outcomesThe successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Polaris.Polaris is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates.Polaris is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.TPBN1_UKTJ
