HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver – SwindonPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our well-established client based in Swindon .This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, overtime opportunities, and genuine long-term career progression within a professional and supportive transport environment.This role would suit candidates with experience as a Class 2 HIAB Driver, HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, HIAB Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Building Materials Driver, or Lorry Loader Driver .To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 24 months' continuous Category C driving experience .Shifts• Working 5 days out of 7 (rota provided)  • Start times available from 07:00, 08:00, and 11:00  • Ongoing full-time work  • Flexible shift patterns availableRates of Pay – PAYE• Basic Rate – £17.18 per hour  • Overtime after 8 hours – £25.77 per hour  • Saturday – £25.77 per hour  • Sunday – £34.36 per hour  • Bank Holiday – £34.36 per hour  • Weekly PayBenefitsAs an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, you will receive:• Excellent hourly rates  • Weekly pay  • Ongoing work  • Overtime opportunities  • On-site canteen  • Immediate starts available  • Employee well-being programme  • Supportive transport team  • Long-term career opportunities  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignmentDay-to-Day DutiesAs an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, your duties will include:• Delivering building materials and home improvement products to customer locations  • Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently  • Operating a HIAB/lorry-mounted crane safely and effectively  • Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift  • Ensuring all loads are secured correctly before transport  • Adhering to all traffic laws and transport regulations  • Using PDA systems to manage deliveries and paperwork  • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly  • Assisting with loading and unloading where required  • Providing excellent customer service at delivery locationsEssential SkillsTo be successful as an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, you will need:• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence  • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card  • A valid HIAB (ALLMI) Qualification Card  • A minimum of 24 months' continuous Class 2 driving experience  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements  • No major endorsement codes  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team  • Good spoken and written English  • Good timekeeping and punctuality  • A strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations  • Confidence using PDA systemsDesirable Experience• Previous commercial driving experience would be beneficial  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience would be advantageous  • Previous experience delivering building materials would be desirableTraining Provided• Six-hour online training must be completed prior to assessment  • Driver assessment required before starting  • On-the-job training provided following successful assessment  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignmentApplyIf you are an experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver looking for ongoing work with excellent rates of pay and long-term opportunities, apply today or contact our recruitment team for more information.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.TPBN1_UKTJ
