Working in a mature, agile environment, our SCRUM teams work synchronously with our customers to solve some of the toughest digital challenges faced in the world today.Role & ResponsibilitiesWork as a Principal Platform Engineer, deploying applications and software to cloud or on-prem environments for our many business areas.Due to the interesting work we do and the sector this team is working in, we require all candidates to be willing to attain an eDV clearance.Building and setting up development tools and infrastructureUnderstand the needs of project stakeholdersAutomate and improve development and release processesEnsure that systems are safe and secure against cyber security threatsIdentify technical problems and develop software updates and solutionsWork with other engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedRequired experienceExperience of working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery modelCloud technologies (AWS or Azure)Infrastructure as code e.g. Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible etc.Experience in building and deploying large-scale applications inContinuous Integration/Delivery pipelines;Container platform and orchestration systems ECS, AKS, Kubernetes/helm/DockerExperience in automation and integration tools such as Jenkins,Concourse CI or cloud equivalentsExperience in scripting languages and source controlTPBN1_UKTJ
