Workshop Assembly Manager

They are seeking an experienced Workshop Assembly Manager to join their team in North West London.The RoleThe successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the joinery assembly area, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality output and full compliance with health and safety standards. You will supervise joiners and assemblers, manage workloads, maintain staffing levels and ensure work is completed to specification, on time and to the highest standard.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations across the Assembly, Joinery and Specialist Joinery departments, ensuring targets and completion dates are achieved.Ensure products are assembled to drawings, specifications, BOMs and company standards, with the latest drawing revisions in use.Monitor efficiency using shopfloor data, investigate discrepancies and drive process and system compliance.Work with Procurement to ensure materials are available in line with the assembly plan and correctly allocated to works orders.Develop team skills, improve standards and support continuous improvement across output, quality and workflow.Health & SafetyEnforce company processes, health and safety policy, PPE requirements and safe working practices.Hold safety reviews, deliver toolbox talks and ensure machinery is operated only by competent, trained personnel.Maintain training records, the skills matrix and equipment/tool registers.Carry out quality checks and ensure non-conformances are addressed promptly.Essential Skills and ExperienceProven supervisory experience within a manufacturing, assembly or joinery environment.Strong understanding of joinery assembly processes, woodworking machinery, technical drawings and cutting lists.Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage teams, work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.Good IT skills, including MS Office and production software, with knowledge of health and safety standards.Location: North West LondonSalary: Competitive with BenefitsStart: ASAPStatus: Permanent, Full timeRef: IB260605TPBN1_UKTJ
