Head of FinanceLocation: SuffolkSalary: Competitive + BenefitsA highly regarded SME-sized not-for-profit organisation is seeking an accomplished Head of Finance to join its senior leadership team.This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who is looking to make a genuine impact within a purpose-driven organisation. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, driving performance, and ensuring the organisation remains financially robust as it continues to grow and evolve.The RoleAs Head of Finance, you will lead and develop a high-performing finance function while remaining hands-on in the delivery of core financial operations. You will be responsible for providing both strategic insight and operational excellence, partnering with senior stakeholders to support informed decision-making across the organisation.Key responsibilities include:Leading, mentoring and developing the finance teamManaging the annual budgeting and forecasting processesProducing timely and accurate management accounts and financial reportsOverseeing statutory accounts preparation and external audit processesEnsuring robust financial controls, governance and complianceProviding commercial analysis and strategic financial guidance to senior leadersSupporting long-term financial planning and organisational decision-makingDriving continuous improvement across finance processes and systemsAbout YouWe are looking for an ambitious and proactive finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.You will ideally have:ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualificationProven experience leading and developing a high-performing finance teamStrong financial and statutory reporting experienceDemonstrable expertise in budgeting, forecasting and financial planningThe ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approachExcellent commercial awareness and the capability to add value beyond traditional finance responsibilitiesExperience working within an SME environment and/or not-for-profit sector would be advantageousThe OpportunityThis role offers the chance to join an organisation where finance is viewed as a key strategic partner.
