Lettings Officer

A well-established social housing provider in Exeter is seeking an experienced Interim Lettings Officer to join their team on an initial 6-week contract, with the potential for extension.\n
\nBased in a central office with a flexible hybrid working pattern, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality lettings service across a diverse housing portfolio.\n
Responsibilities of the Lettings Officer:\n

• Advertise available homes through Devon Home Choice
\n
• Shortlist applicants in line with lettings policies and allocation requirements
\n
• Arrange and carry out property viewings
\n
• Complete tenancy sign-ups, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant
\n
• Work closely with internal teams to coordinate appointments and shared resources
\n
• Provide essential support to maintain service delivery during permanent recruitment
\n
• Deliver a professional, customer-focused service throughout the lettings process
\n

Salary & Benefits of this Lettings officer Role:\n

• Initial 6-week contract with potential to extend
\n
• 35 hours per week (MondayFriday, 9:00am5:00pm)
\n
• Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, up to 2 days from home
\n
• Regular travel for viewings and tenancy sign-ups
\n
• Mileage paid when using your own vehicle
\n
• £22£24 per hour
\n

About You\n

\n
• Experience as a Lettings Officer within social housing, a housing association, or registered provider
\n
• Previous use of Devon Home Choice (essential)
\n
• Strong knowledge of lettings, allocations, and tenancy sign-up processes
\n
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
\n
• Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
\n
• Organised, customer-focused, and confident managing both administration and customer interactions
