CNC Machinist

Engaging with their clients and using their wealth of employee experience and expertise to deliver a first-class product every time.About The Role:Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the CNC Setter/Operator is responsible for the precise setup and efficient operation of CNC and manual machinery. Operating within a low-volume, high-precision manufacturing environment, the post holder must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail to ensure all components are machined strictly to engineering drawings and exacting quality standards.Key Duties:Producing high quality precision machined components to correct tolerancesSetting and operating a range of CNC machinesManual milling and turningRead engineering drawingsUse and interpret workshop measuring equipmentPerforming visual and manual quality inspection of componentsReport defects to materials, components and equipmentRecord quantities and time taken to machine partsWork to an exacting quality standard to ensure parts are machined right first time and on timeWorking to tight tolerancesMaintenance checksEnsure a high level of housekeeping to ensure the on-going cleanliness of the facilitiesMaintain and promote safe working practices and policies whilst engaged in your dailyCandidate Requirements:Proven experience working within a similar roleA sound knowledge of XYZ Lathe and Millers or other CNC toolsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsUse of standard work shop inspection equipment such as Verniers, micrometres and slip gauges.Able to use a range of hand toolsA good communicator who works well in a team environmentEnjoy working under your own initiative and managing a busy workloadAn understanding of the health and safety legislationA good standard of literacy and numeracyBasic computer knowledgeFlexible to work overtime/weekendsIf you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now for immediate consideration.The employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
