We have an egg-cellent new opportunity to join The Compleat Food Group as an NPD Manager based in Barnsley! Alongside our branded portfolio, were a leading supplier of delicious own-label pastry, sweet bakery, party food, olives and antipasti, added-value egg products, continental meats, dips and sauces and plant-based food to the UKs major retailers, as well as across foodservice.With over 6,000 talented colleagues across 17 sites, and an annual turnover of £1.3bn, were united by a shared ambition to shape the future of food for the better.Location : Barnsley, S73 0BBOur Barnsley site specialises in added-value egg products, chilled food-to-go snacks, and deli fillers!Hours : Monday Friday, 8:30am 5:00pmSalary : £50,000 + car allowanceYour Duties Will Include:Responsible for total account NPD and EPD from initial concept to final production responding to customer requirements or development briefs.Use development expertise to produce innovative and practical new product ideas, ensuring that all commercial, technical and production criteria are considered.Work closely with marketing and commercial teams to develop products in line with category strategy.Generate and monitor the critical path to launch for projects.Support recipe development alongside Development ChefsSourcing of new raw materials in conjunction with the purchasing and technical teams to ensure viability.Generation of initial product development costingsAttend internal gate review meetings.Customer presentations including sample and document preparation.Carry out pre-launch factory briefings and co-ordinate first production with Senior Process Technologist.Co-ordinate post launch reviews.Knowledge, Experience and Skills:Strong NPD experience in food manufacturing (chilled food desirable)Strong customer facing experience working for or with UK retailersAble to demonstrate record of delivering new products to the marketUnderstanding of UK and European food regulation and legislationFood Safety Level 3 & HACCP Level 3Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPointStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organisational, project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate innovate, pragmatic solutions, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyGenuine passion for food with strong work ethic and professionalismWhy Join Us?At The Compleat Food Group, we believe our people are the heart of our success.
