Site Manager LutonSalary: £48,000 £60,000Project: £8.5m Steel Frame New Build Industrial SchemeA regional principal contractor based in Hertfordshire is recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join its established team. The business delivers new build and refurbishment projects up to £15 million and is known for its family-owned stability, long-standing client relationships and a supportive environment that encourages progression and long-term career development.This position is managing the construction of an £8.5 million steel frame industrial new build in Luton, commencing August 2026 and completing in 2027. The contractor is seeking a Site Manager with strong steel frame and new build experience who can take ownership of a complex structure from groundworks through to final finishes.Key RequirementsMinimum 7 years site management experience.Proven experience delivering steel frame new build schemes.SMSTS and First Aid qualified.Strong Health & Safety knowledge, including modern risk management requirements.Background in JCT Design & Build projects or the ability to adapt quickly.Ability to manage a project from initial groundworks through to high-quality finishes.Understanding of structural steel frame engineering and complex groundwork coordination.Experience managing bona fide subcontractors, direct labour and all associated site administration.Ability to maintain high quality standards across all stages of delivery.Competent in producing RAMS and delivering toolbox talks.Computer literate with the ability to produce weekly reports, manage meetings and liaise with project teams.Strong communication skills with the ability to build working relationships at all levels.Organised, proactive and able to interrogate procurement and construction programmes to ensure timely delivery.Positive, solutions-focused approach.Role DetailsFull-time, permanent or contractHertfordshire-based regional contractorNew build steel frame industrial scheme £8.5mProject location: LutonSalary £48,000 £60,000 depending on experienceThis is an opportunity to join a stable, reputable contractor offering long-term progression, a supportive team culture and consistent project pipelines.TPBN1_UKTJ
