Job Description
Training & Development Officer, Rugby£39,000 per annum + Bonus + PRP (OTE £45,000 per annum)Excellent company benefitsProvide learning and development support to the business through engagement and collaboration of delivering internal training, reserving external training providers and utilising the apprenticeship scheme for development of the future skills of the business.Developing and monitoring internal on the job training and support processesIdentifying future talent by building relationships and collaborating with training providers, schools, colleges and universities and specialist organisations.Maintain an awareness of current and future standards and opportunities including, apprenticeshipsTo build and maintain the profile of training with all stakeholders and to develop a pro-active approach to training across the business.Health & SafetyParticipate in the development and promotion of the HSE cultureBe explementary in terms of health and safety and the environmentImplementing preventative actions to reduce the environmental protectionParticipate, upon request, in analyses (of risks, incidents) and HSE working groups related to his/her professional scope of his/her workBe familiar with the main health and safety risks and the main environmental impacts relating to the scope of his/her workBe familiar with the sites HSE policy and objectivesTo be able to make proposals for improving working conditions and limiting environmental impactTraining & DevelopmentMaintain the training systems utilising document control systems and in-house training platformsAssist with the development of the annual training plan housed within the training documentationAssist with the creation of the departmental strategy documentationAssist the HR manager with L&D budget projection and forecastingEnsure training needs identified through the appraisal process are supported and deliveredResponsible for the development and implementation of training in following areas: Project Management, 6 sigma, Project Facilitation and any other suitable training package which can be delivered internally (example COSHH, abrasive wheels)Stay current with trends in learning and development through CPDManage the end-to-end delivery of training programmes, internally and with external providersOversee onboarding and induction learning for new employeesIn collaboration with key stake holders develop leadership and management development programmesChampion the use of digital learning toolsWork closely with HR Manager, senior leaders and line managersAct as an expert advisor and consultant on all L&D mattersBuild relationships with external training providers, negotiate contracts with the support of the Purchasing ManagerLead and develop the Talent and Training CoordinatorManage workload allocation and performance of the Talent and Training coordinator teamInternal TrainingReview and develop where necessary all on-the-job training processes to ensure they continue to meet production demands and health and safety requirementsDevelop on-the-job training competencies across all production UAPsMonitor on-the-job training for all new starters and employees undergoing cross training (this will require attendance outside of normal working hours to meet with night shift employees)Monitor refresher training for on-the-job trainingOrganise and manage in-house training programmes, including liaising with external training providers who may be delivering the trainingExternal trainingSource and book venues for external training providers. ReportingCreating, maintaining and distributing training figures on a monthly basisMonitor training hours undertaken, costs and respond to information requests from Group on training activityEnsure training evaluations are completed in a timely manner across all platforms with the support HR apprenticeEvaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of learning interventionsApprenticesAssist with Government reporting e.g. Apprenticeship Levy.Coordinate with apprentice programmes ensuring apprentices and trainees are adequately supportedSupport, engage and develop apprentices through quarterly apprentice forumsTPBN1_UKTJ
