Our client Scottish Power Renewables are currently recruiting for a Foundations TP Supply Manager to join their team based in London or Glasgow on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for an experienced Supply Manager with a strong background in fabrication of structures within a relevant background. For more information on this role see below|:Main Purpose of JobThe Supply Manager is a critical role within the Offshore Renewables Business, focussing on delivery of largescale offshore wind projects in the UK, Europe and overseas.The Supply Manager sits within the EA1N Foundations package, part of the wider EA1N project team.The Supply Manager will be responsible for ensuring a multi-contract foundation supply is delivered on time and on budget. At this stage, early works engagement and fabrication readiness preparations are the key areas of focus.To succeed, you'll need to turn design concepts into reality, defining and implementing robust and cost effective fabrication solutions. Naturally, Health & Safety must be paramount. Throughout the process, the role is required to be on hand to provide expert, high-level advice, on everything from risk and commercial agreements through to the latest delivery developments. With the help of the team, you'll get everything delivered on time as planned.The individual will be working as part of a global business with activities in many countries across Europe and the rest of the world. The position may require frequent travel to various locations in the UK and overseas and the individual should be capable of managing teams working at different project locations.Key TasksThe Supply Manager accountabilities incorporate the following:- Lead the delivery and contract management of the Package supply contracts - Drive improvement of Contractor HS&E performance, supported by H&S Engineer.- Manage contract commercial risks with support of the Lead Contracts Manager.- Drive improvement in Contractor quality planning to meet Employer Requirements- Monitor delivery to programme and follow-up on mitigations- Report on manufacturing preparedness progress, performance, and key contract risksSustainable Energy- Act as leader within the supply arena, demonstrating tenacity around construction risk management, ensuring implementation of safe fabrication site strategies.- Work sustainably, considering a local and global vision, creating value for the future.- Working alongside the Fabrication Manager, deliver expert advice and guidance on optimised fabrication programmes and methodologies considering the impact across the project.- Encourage the identification and sharing of lessons learnt related to the fabrication of foundations and the impacts within design and operations.- Treat others as you would like to be treated. Be consistent.- Encourage excellence in what and how the team delivers, celebrating and challenging the team to achieve high performance.Driving Force- Project manage the supply contract, ensuring delivery within programme, to budget, implementing requirements and industry practice.- Supervise the delivery of the inspection and verification process to ensure timely fabrication and integrity risk management.- Set ambitious but realistic objectives and priorities to achieve success by anticipating future needs and opportunities.- Be curious. Build productive relationships by sharing knowledge and information across the organization.- Generate opportunities to give and receive feedback as a source of acknowledgement and continuous learning.Key Criteria- EssentialTechnical / Industry- Experience of the supply of all major foundation types (gravity base, jackets and monopiles).- Substantial "hands-on experience" within a delivery environment.- Experience in leading contract negotiations and detailed commercial delivery contracts.- Excellent knowledge of fabrication processes and safety regulations.Scope Management- Proven project management experience within a fabrication environment of large scale £multi-million packages through the pre-delivery, delivery and operation handover phases.People Management- Ability to drive decision making under pressure to tight deadlines and budget constraints.- High capacity for change and experience of leading others through change.- Excellent communicator, e.g. report writing, presentations, with the ability to summarise key parameters and drivers impacting the project and business.- Innovative and creative thinking, managing conflicting requirements- Tenacity, persistence and determination to succeed in overcoming obstacles.DesirableTechnical / Industry- Degree and professional qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering- Extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with health and safety and environmental legislation associated with construction, marine and offshore projects.Scope Management- Balance technical detail with commercial needs and provide recommendations, taking into account all relevant risks. Advice on the impact of technical/ specialist risks and issues and the viability of solutions recommended.- Sound planning and analysis skills with the ability to look forward and see / anticipate problems and thereafter plan and implement mitigating solutions to negate the effect of such problems.People Management- Substantial experience and skills in leading teams in large multidiscipline international packages.
