Across Sussex Morning, afternoon, evening & weekend shifts Full training providedUnicare Complex Care Specialist is a CQC-registered provider of supported living, complex care and community support. Across Sussex, we help people living with mental health needs to stay well, grow in confidence and lead full, independent lives in their own homes and communities.We are looking for warm, resilient Mental Health Support Workers to join our Sussex community team. Youll build genuine, trusting relationships with the people we support and provide the person-centred care that helps them on their recovery journey every single day.Where youll be workingCommunity-based across Sussex, supporting people in and around [insert key areas e.g. Brighton & Hove, Worthing, Crawley, Eastbourne].Your shiftsOur community service runs across a range of shifts, and patterns vary from week to week. Well always work with you around your availability.ShiftTypical hoursMorning shiftDaytime cover from early morning [e.g. 7:00am 2:00pm]Afternoon shiftDaytime into early evening [e.g. 2:00pm 8:00pm]Evening shiftEvening support [e.g. 8:00pm 10:00pm; waking nights where required]Weekend shiftsSaturdays & Sundays daytime and evening coverFull-time, part-time and bank hours available.What youll be doingBuilding trusting, professional relationships with the people we supportDelivering person-centred support that promotes recovery, wellbeing and independenceSupporting with daily living, medication prompts, appointments and accessing the communityEncouraging social inclusion, meaningful activity and confidenceRecognising changes in mental health and responding in line with support and risk-management plansWorking alongside families, clinicians and the wider team, and keeping accurate, professional recordsWhat were looking forA compassionate, patient and resilient approach, with strong communication skillsAn interest in or experience of supporting people with mental health needs (experience welcome but not essential; full training is provided)Flexibility to work across varied shift patterns, including evenings and weekendsThe right to work in the UKWillingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (we arrange and support this)Ability to travel reliably across Sussex (a driving licence and access to a vehicle is an advantage)What we offerA competitive hourly rate from £13-£14.50 based on experiencestructured induction including the Care Certificate and specialist mental health trainingOngoing training, regular supervision and a genuinely supportive teamFlexible shifts built around your availability, with real opportunities to progress within a growing CQC-registered providerHow to applyWed love to hear from you.
